What's good

  • Same 80% slope rating as the LUBA 3
  • Up to 2.5 acres, more than any LUBA 3 variant
  • Wide 15.7 in dual-disc deck

What to know

  • Out of stock on Mammotion's US and EU stores
  • No LiDAR: needs open sky for RTK, and you install a reference station antenna
  • Check warranty terms carefully on second-hand units

Should you buy a LUBA 2 now?

Only at a clear discount. At its last US list price, the 3000HX cost $2,599 for 0.75 acre. The Mammotion LUBA 3 AWD 3000H costs $2,799 for the same area and adds LiDAR and network RTK, so it doesn't need a base station and copes better under trees.

The LUBA 2's real advantage is size: the 10000HX covered 2.5 acres. If you need that today, the Segway Navimow X390 is rated for 2.5 acres and is still sold.
